About John Pinto Artist Painters

John Pinto (Choy) a contemporary Australian Artist (born in China). A talented, all natural artist, in one of his painting "Snow" 1980, oil on canvas- his paint application is with swift impasto brushstrokes in an impressionistic. Most of John's paintings reveal a well developed chiaroscuro technique which gives them a dramatic effect. One can see also a freshness in his landscapes which illustrates his involvement with his new environment. In a relatively short period of time, John already had six exhibitions, two of which were at the National Bank branches in Sydney 1978, 1979. His current work hangs at the Sydney Square Gallery city. John has won numerous art award: Randwick Art society - (1st Prize), Parramatta City Council (1st Prize) Chatswood City Council (1st Prize). John currently runs weekly art classes at Ultimo Community Centre and South Juniors Club Kingsford.
